The American Paradox: Securing Our Fundamental Right While Saving Lives
The Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right for U.S. citizens to own firearms. The primary reason millions of Americans exercise this right is simple: personal protection. Yet, this deeply held freedom exists in a state of constant tension with the tragic reality of daily firearm violence. Finding a balanced approach that honors the Constitution while protecting our communities remains one of our nation's most elusive challenges.
This duality forces every responsible gun owner to confront critical questions:
Speed vs. Safety: How do you store a firearm securely to prevent unauthorized access while ensuring it’s instantly available when lethal protection is urgently needed?
Preventing Tragedy: What measures prevent curious children or unsuspecting guests from accessing a potentially deadly weapon?
Life on the Go: What is the safest way to transport a firearm when commuting or traveling?
The scale of the situation is vast. Over 82 million Americans own at least one firearm, representing 32% of the adult population. A staggering 44% of U.S. households contain a gun. Protection is the driving motivation for 67% of owners.
The stakes, however, could not be higher. Annually, the U.S. sees over 48,000 firearm-related deaths—56% are suicides, 41% homicides. Adding to this volatility, more than 200,000 firearms are reported stolen each year.
We are actively searching for a strategic partner to collaborate on taking our cutting-edge technology to market. This partnership is a critical component of our go-to-market (GTM) strategy and is designed to leverage an external partner's expertise and market reach to ensure a successful product launch.
Trac Shot Technology Overview
Trac Shot's patented "MDD" (Movement Detection Device) technology provides an added layer of security for firearms when not in use. Even when a firearm is secured with trigger locks or kept unloaded, it is currently difficult to know if an unauthorized individual takes possession or moves it. The MDD is designed to detect, deter, and alert the firearm owner to such unauthorized movement.
Key Features & Future Development:
Easy Attachment: The current MDD design can be easily attached to most any firearm.
Alert System: When activated, the device communicates with a local base station that connects to your local network, triggering an alarm and notification to the owner.
Privacy-Focused: The technology does not rely on GPS or other tracking technology, thus protecting the privacy rights of the owner.
Development Pipeline: Our development portfolio includes a mobile version of the base station, built-in audible/visual deterrents, and a variety of other potential enhancements.
Patents: We hold one patent and have a second patent pending for related innovations in this field.
We believe our technology can significantly reduce the total number of firearm-related deaths and offer firearm owners enhanced security in protecting their firearms from unauthorized access or movement.
Partnership Goals
Accelerate time to market: Utilize an existing partner's established distribution channels to quickly get the product in front of the right audience.
Target the right audience: Align with a partner that has a complementary target audience and experience in our specific sector to ensure effective customer segmentation and messaging.
Enhance brand exposure: Collaborate on co-marketing initiatives, such as joint webinars or content creation, to expand market visibility and build credibility.
What We Are Looking For
Proven track record: A partner with a history of success in marketing security and/or firearm related products and services.
Technological alignment: An organization that understands the complexities of our industry and aligns technologically to ensure seamless collaboration and integration.
Clear communication: A partner that values transparency and open dialogue, with clear reporting structures and feedback loops to manage expectations effectively.
Shared values: Cultural fit is crucial; we seek a partner whose business values, such as customer focus or innovation, align with our own to foster a productive and long-term relationship.
